THE RAINBOW IN DIGBETH FACES CLOSURE

RAISE THE ROOF SUMMER STREET FESTIVAL
THE RAINBOW PRESENTS : SUMMER STREET FESTIVAL 2009

(The Summer fund raiser to keep The Rainbow Courtyard open by replacing the roof with one that has sound insulation)

Thank you so much for your support. We are overwhelmed! Over 15,000 people have joined the group SAVE THE RAINBOW. Many of you are asking where you can donate. Well we don`t expect anything for nothing so we are throwing a massive fund raiser `RAISE THE ROOF`

Featuring 7 Arenas hosted by Birmingham’s favorite party brands including…

ATOMIC JAM* exclusive in the Rainbow Warehouse
BIGGER THAN BARRY on the Street
BELOW in the Rainbow Courtyard
BATTLES in the Rainbow Marquee featuring Hott Date, Gutter Skank, 444 Club and Rag and Bone
SECRET WARS in the Ice Cream Van
WOBBLE in the Warehouse Garden
FUSE the Rainbow Bar

CHILL ZONES THROUGHOUT

From Indie to Electro, Disco to Dubstep, Hip Hop to House, through Techno, 80`s pop and much much more, we`ve got it all locked down! And we know...big name DJ`s dont make a party... You and your friends do! However expect some surprises.

7 arenas, 7 social groups, 1 ticket!

The Rainbow pub has a long legacy and tradition of defiant independence hosting some of the most talked about events and parties in Birmingham over the last 10 years.

The addition of the Rainbow Warehouse, 100yds further up Adderley Street, earlier this year has only served to enhance that reputation as promoters have eagerly sought to utilise a space so unique in the UK: the raw authenticity of a Victorian warehouse combining with an outside area set under a 19th century viaduct that is transformed into a beach in the summer and Garden in the winter.

The closure of Adderley Street Saturday 1 August (as like NYE) to create one massive self contained Rainbow complex ensures this is going to be the site of something really special. And that’s before we add in the most combustible combination of dance and party brands ever assembled on one night in one space.

Now for the best bit!!...
Tickets are now on sale for the amazing price of just £20!! This event will sell out so grab yours now from HERE all attendees will be going along way to helping the Rainbow fund it`s new roof to keep it open.

LOCATLITY HIPHOP NIGHTS

Have a look at the locality website. In late 2007, a group of lads from Peterborough met together for a drink with the idea of fusing all elements of our own interests in Hiphop, Drum n Bass, Beatboxing, Breakdancing and Graffiti into one showcase event. After hours, days and weeks of ideas and lots of silly names... Locality was born.
The original concept was to give Peterborough a local showcase of its underground talent, a few years on they are still going stong supporting the local scenes artists and now further afield bringing such names as DIRTY DYKE + EDWARD SCISSOR TONGUE, BABY J with ALEX BLOOD, DR SYNTAX + STIG OF THE DUMP with DJ MANIPULATE, DR ZOOTS with FISH, SKINNYMAN and SKUFF + INJA! With many more to come in the future...

Layout is back to landscape, still A5 but it means we have more room for joiners and loooooong flicks!

Also they had a few problems at the post room so if you ordered your mag recently and haven’t received it apologies but it is on its way.
